Packaging

Our coffee comes in home-compostable bags made in Aotearoa New Zealand, using films from renewable, sustainably managed resources. To keep your coffee fresh, we vacuum seal each bag. As the beans naturally release CO₂, the bag puffs up - which is why a one-way valve is added to the back. This valve lets the gas escape without letting air in, protecting the coffee and preventing the bag from splitting. Please remove the valve before composting. 

We also use non-toxic inks for printing, cardboard boxes for shipping, and gummed paper tape to seal them.
